Kinsmen Club of Hamilton History

The Kinsmen Club of Hamilton has the distinction of being the first Kin Club within the Association of Kin, having been founded in 1920 by Harold Rogers and a group of like-minded men who were looking for a club in which to share fellowship and a need to serve.

The Kinsmen Club of Hamilton serves its community through fund raising projects, community service, and encouraging our members to learn, grow and make friends. We have a rich history of service which we are proud to continue today. Projects our clubs have undertaken include:

  • Sponsor a Room at Ronald McDonald House Hamilton
  • Operate Food Booths at Local Fairs and Festivals
  • Dances & Dinner Theatres
  • Answer Telephones For the McMaster Sick Kids Hospital Telethon
  • Collect Food and Cash Donations for Food Banks in the Hamilton Santa Claus Parades
  • Sponsor Kids' Minor Sports
  • Host the Hamilton Cystic Fibrosis Great Strides Walk-A-Thon
